Inverloch Yin & Pins : Restore Winter Stagnation and boost your immune system. A rejuvenating 2 hour yoga session to stimulate & restore.

 TWO SPECIAL DATES
SATURDAY the 5th of JUNE and SUNDAY the 6th of JUNE from 2pm -4pm

Join yoga teacher Felicity O’Dea and experienced acupuncturist Louise Norton for a releasing and restoring Winter session of mediation, yin yoga, yoga nidra, aromatherapy, moxibustion and acupuncture.

During these colder months we can all begin to experience physical stagnation, food fatigue and a sluggish immune system.

Winter is a full expression of yin in Traditional Chinese Medicine, when our Water element dominates. It is like the seed resting dormant in the earth as it waits to burst forth in springtime. Winter is a time to slow down and gather energy; a time of inward reflection, shedding the old, resting, gathering strength and vitality for the season to follow.

In our 24-7 Western lifestyle, our Water element is the element most prone to imbalance. Over-exertion, lack of sleep, cold weather, stress and excessive consumption of coffee and stimulants will all deplete our kidney energy.

This rejuvenating two hour session will help to stimulate chi (energy) and restore vitality with practises focused on the Kidney and Urinary bladder meridian pair. In Ayurveda, water is the primary element of winter so the yin practices and acupuncture points used will focus on this element and the Kidney and Urinary bladder meridian lines. Our movements, poses and massage will focus on stimulating the energy channels and acupressure points to encourage calming the central nervous system, bringing happiness and vitality, and enhancing our bodies nutrient absorption.

You will emerge from this session feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. After the session you will be given some time to ease back into reality with the offering of a warming and soothing beverage (Choice of an Ayruvedic tonic of turmeric, ginger, lemon and honey or a Tonemade bone broth with extra ginger and turmeric).

Please let us know the attendees name ASAP. If you are bringing your own equipment please let us know what you plan on bringing (Mat, bolster, blanket) and we can then plan the class accordingly.
